
Former Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration in the Nigeria ImmigrationService (NIS) Emmanuel Brasca Udo Ifeadi (PhD) will be the keynote speaker at the 2026 ANJET Conference and Awards billed for next week, October 16 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. He will be speaking on the theme: ‘The Nigerian Tourism Industry and the Current Government’s Immigration Reforms’. Ifeadi will look at the Nigerian Immigration reforms by the present administration that came into full implementation in the first quarter of 2025, and its impact on the Nigerian tourism industry.
Dr. Ifeadi, a Global Peace Ambassador Award recipient, has a master’s degree in Political Science and another master’s degree in International Relations. He also holds two doctorate degrees in Strategic Studies and International Relations respectively.
Brasca Ifeadi born on 24th August, 1956, is a graduate of Political Science from University of Lagos.After his graduation from University of Lagos, he enlisted in the Nigeria Immigration Service on August 5, 1982 as an Assistant Superintendent of Immigration. Over the years, he rose through the ranks before retiring on 24th August, 2016 on the rank of Deputy Comptroller-General of Immigration Service after 34 years of meritorious service.
While in service, Ifeadi , an extremely cerebral individual, combined his work with academic pursuit, culminating in the acquisition of two Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees.In February, 2009 he bagged a PhD in Strategic Studies from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in Edo State. Subsequently in April 2013, he obtained another PhD in International Relations from University of Benin.
